3D ART
introduction
I have always loved 3D art, which is why I was drawn to level design in the first place. In my free time, I like to often do small 3D art projects that are closely related to level design, such as modeling buildings or creating environment art dioramas. This helps me broaden my skillset as a designer and allows me to understand the workflows of the people I work closely together with.

3D modelling
01
Dwarven castle
For my diorama project, I 3D modeled a castle referencing dwarven architecture from The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit movies for 3D printing.
02
Dwarven house modular kit
Based on the learning from the dwarven castle project, I decided to create a modular kit that would allow me to create dwarven houses easily. The kit was inspired by The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria by Free Range Games. I also used this kit in my building system.
03
Dwarven castle modular kit
As a recommendation from my level design teacher, I turned the castle I had modeled previously into a modular kit. I based the shapes and the texturing on the references I gathered of the Erebor from The Hobbit. This was my first time using Substance Painter in my workflow.

environment art
01
Warehouse battleground
As part of the exercise in the environment art guild at BUas, I created this scene with Quixel Bridge assets. I tried to create a scene that would fit the FPS genre, taking inspiration from popular FPS games like Call of Duty.
02
Small camp in a forest
As a quick exercise in the environment art guild at BUas, we were given the task of creating a refuge in a forest. I took inspiration from Tomb Raider games to create my diorama. Since it was my first time participating in the workshop, I decided to keep it small-scale and focus on the quality of it rather than the impressiveness.
03
Mystical stones
I had an interest in learning and improving my environment art skills further, so, I created small self-study projects to focus on composition and lighting. The main theme of the scenes was interesting and mystical rock formations and unique lighting situations that would help me improve my lighting skills.
04
Environment JAM 2022
During my first year at BUas, I found out about the environment jam. I was very curious since it seemed easier and more feasible for me than game jams. I decided to unofficially follow the event and create something with free assets I could find on Epic Games and online.
